Texas Stars Sign Van Brabant to Tryout Agreement

Forward Appeared in Both Preseason Games for Texas

CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, announced Wednesday the club has signed forward Bryce Van Brabant to a professional tryout agreement.

Van Brabant, 24, competed in Texas Stars training camp this month and appeared in both preseason games for the club. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound forward appeared in 62 games last season with the AHL’s Stockton Heat. The Morinville, Alberta native also has six games of NHL experience with the Calgary Flames during the 2013-14 season.

The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, and will begin their eighth season at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park in October.
