
Texas Stars Sign Jack Becker to AHL Contract Extension
Jul 8, 2025CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, announced today that the club has signed forward Jack Becker to an AHL contract extension ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Becker, 28, completed his first full AHL season in 2024-25 and registered 18 points (11-7—18) in 70 regular-season games and four points (2-2—4) in 14 playoff games for Texas. He previously split the 2023-24 campaign with the Stars and the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads. After posting 37 points (16-21—37) in 39 games for the Steelheads, Becker joined the Stars on a pro tryout January 25, 2024 and finished the season in the AHL. The forward has 26 points (16-10—26) in 112 career AHL games and 74 points (30-44—74) in 99 ECHL contests.
Prior to turning pro, Becker played four college seasons at the University of Michigan, where he served as captain in 2020-21 as a senior. He then transferred to Arizona State University for his fifth year of eligibility in 2021-22 and was named an alternate captain. Becker totaled 75 points (34-41—75) in 159 career games between the Wolverines and the Sun Devils.
The Dellwood, Minnesota native was originally selected by Boston in the seventh round (195th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft.
