Texas Stars Recall Defenseman Aidan Hreschuk from Idaho Steelheads
Dec 30, 2025CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, announced today the club recalled defenseman Aidan Hreschuk from the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads.
Hreschuk, 22, is in his rookie season after signing an AHL contract with Texas last off-season. In 27 games with the Steelheads, he has nine points (1-8—9). Prior to turning pro, the defenseman spent four seasons at Boston College and skated in 146 college games, helping the Eagles to back-to-back Hockey East regular season titles.
The Long Beach, California native was originally selected by Carolina in the third round (94th overall) in the 2021 NHL Draft.
The Stars continue a three-game road trip tonight against the Iowa Wild, with puck drop scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Casey’s Center. Catch all the action on AHL TV on FloHockey.
