Stars Score Four to Down Wolves
Nov 6, 2026CEDAR PARK, Texas— The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, scored four goals on Friday night to defeat the Chicago Wolves 4-3 at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.
The Stars scored the opening goal for the ninth time in their first 12 games of the season. Jack Anderson flipped a pass to Dylan Hryckowian, who snuck behind the Chicago defense and ripped a wrist shot past the glove of Cayden Primeau just 1:12 into the contest.
Chicago struck early in the second frame three minutes in. Brandon Halverson denied a Ivan Ryabkin shot from a sharp angle, but the rebound sat just outside the crease and Ronan Seeley tied the game.
The Wolves went in front two minutes later on an three-on-one rush. Gabriel Seger fed Aleksi Heimosalmi below the left circle for the go-ahead marker.
Texas responded only 15 seconds later as Kyle Looft sped around the Wolves defense into a breakaway and tallied his second goal of the season.
The scoring continued four minutes later as the Stars took a 3-2 lead on Christian Fitzgerald’s first pro goal. Harrison Scott whipped a pass into the crease that deflected off Curtis McKenzie and onto the stick of Fitzgerald, who slid the puck into the back of the net.
Texas wasted no time extending their lead in the third as Matthew Seminoff lit the lamp 10 seconds into the frame. Seminoff picked off a pass behind the net, and backhanded a shot through Primeau for the fastest goal in any period for the Stars this season.
Chicago cut the Stars’ lead to 4-3 as Pierre-Olivier Joseph trailed an odd-man rush and wired a wrist shot past Halverson with 11 minutes left in the final frame.
The Wolves pulled Primeau for an extra attacker, but the Stars held them off the board to seal a 4-3 win.
Halverson made 19 saves in the victory, while Primeau allowed four goals on 30 shots in the loss.
The two teams will square off again on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at www.texasstars.com/tickets.
