Stars Assign Forward Ayrton Martino to Idaho
Oct 16, 2025CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, announced today that Dallas has assigned forward Ayrton Martino from Texas to the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads on loan.
Martino, 23, is in his first pro season out of Clarkson University, where he had a standout senior season with 51 points (25-26—51) in 39 games and was a Hobey Baker finalist in 2024-25. Upon finishing the season, he signed an amateur tryout and joined Texas for the rest of the regular season. Martino made his professional debut Mar. 28, 2025 at Cleveland and appeared in four regular-season games for the Stars.
The Toronto, Ontario native was selected by Dallas in the third round (73rd overall) of the 2021 NHL Draft.
The Stars hit the road for the first time and take on the Rockford IceHogs at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the BMO Center, before facing the Milwaukee Admirals at 6:00 p.m. Saturday at Panther Arena. Catch all the action on AHL TV on FloHockey.
