SAN ANTONIO - Just like their Friday night meeting, offense was at a premium on Saturday night at AT&T Center but this time it was the San Antonio Rampage that escaped with a 2-1 win over the Texas Stars as goaltender Andrew Hammond shined in his debut for the home team.

Hammond stopped 31 of 32 shots in net to keep the Stars' offense caged throughout the night. Brent Regner tallied the only Texas goal midway through the third to keep the game tight. Travis Morin tallied the 700th point of his pro career with an assist on Regner's goal.

Texas visits the Grand Rapids Griffins Wednesday at 6 p.m. CST.

Clinging to a 1-0 lead entering the third, Jesse Graham slipped a point shot through traffic and past a screened Landon Bow 1:04 into the period to push the Rampage in front by two on what would hold up as the game-winner. Brian Flynn's cross-ice pass set up Regner in the right circle for his tally eight minutes later, but Hammond shut the door on a final push by Texas with the extra attacker in the last minute of play.

Bow stopped 27 of 29 shots in the loss for the Stars.

Andrew Agozzino opened the scoring on an odd-man rush for his 19th goal of the season late in period one to put the Rampage up 1-0.

Both teams finished 0-for-1 on the power play.
