Texas Scores Four Unanswered Goals in Victory

CEDAR PARK, Texas -- For the second straight game the Bakersfield Condors jumped out to a two-goal lead, and the Texas Stars offense responded in a 4-2 comeback win on Sunday evening at Cedar Park Center.

Four different players scored for the Stars (7-2-0-1) in the win, and Maxime Lagace picked up his fourth win of the year with a 35-save performance in net.

The Stars continue their homestand on Saturday against the rival San Antonio Rampage at 7 p.m.

Bogdan Yakimov opened up the scoring for the Condors (2-5-0-1) 2:19 into the game, and Joshua Winquist made it a 2-0 lead seven minutes later. After that point the rest of the night belonged to Lagace and the Stars.

Jason Dickinson snapped home his second of the year from the slot after Matej Stansky and Cole Ully forced a turnover behind net at 12:41 of the first.

With just under six minutes to play in the second, Derek Hulak banged home a rebound for his fourth of the year, and his second straight game with a goal, to knot the score at 2-2.

The Stars added two more in the third to pull away as Cory Kane tapped in a rebound at 7:43 generated by Branden Troock's shot, and Justin Dowling deflected a Travis Morin shot from the right circle at 12:46 for his second on the year. The assist extended Morin's point streak to four games.

Lagace anchored the Texas defense the rest of the way as he turned aside 17 shots in the third and 35 in the game. Ben Scrivens suffered the loss in a 26-save performance.

Texas went 0-for-3 on the power play. Bakersfield was scoreless in their lone opportunity.
