Texas Stars Training Camp Schedule and Roster Announced

2016-17 Season Begins Oct. 14 at H-E-B Center

CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, announced Monday their Training Camp roster and schedule for the upcoming 2016-17 season. The club's eighth season in Cedar Park.

22 players will report to H-E-B Center at Cedar Park on Monday for physicals, and Tuesday the team will hit the ice for their first formal practice. All practice sessions are open to the media and a formal media day is set for Tuesday, Oct. 11.

The 13 forwards are Joe Basaraba, Brandon DeFazio, Austin Fyten, Caleb Herbert, Colin Jacobs, Kellen Lain, Rob Linsmayer, Anthony Luciani, Mike McMurtry, Will Merchant, Brendan Ranford, Branden Troock and Bryce Van Brabant.

The seven defensemen are Brandon Anselmini, Zach Bell, Andrew Bodnarchuk, Ludwig Bystrom, Charlie Dodero, Nick Ebert and Dustin Stevenson.

Landon Bow and Philippe Desrosiers are the two goaltenders.

The Stars will compete in a pair of preseason games against the San Antonio Rampage Thursday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 8 at 3 p.m. Thursday’s game will be played at AT&T Center in San Antonio. Saturday’s contest will be at H-E-B Center.

Opening night for the 2016-17 campaign is Friday, Oct. 14 at 7:30 p.m.

The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, and will begin their eighth season at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park in October.
