STARS SIGN CAMPBELL TO PTO

Texas Takes On San Antonio This Saturday at 7:00 p.m.

Cedar Park, TX - The Texas Stars announced on Saturday the team has signed forward Scott Campbell to a PTO (professional tryout agreement).

Campbell joins the Stars after playing the bulk of his rookie season with the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL. In 45 games with Las Vegas, the 6-foot-2, 210-pounder netted14 goals and added 15 assists for 29 points. The Navan, ON native also went scoreless in one AHL game this season with Rochester. Campbell was scoreless in the final six games of the 2010-11 season with the Houston Aeros. Prior to turning pro, Campbell played at UMASS-Lowell from 2007-11. In 126 collegiate games, the 25-year old scored 39 times and totaled 85 points.

The Stars will take on the Rampage again on Saturday, February 18th at 7:00 p.m, presented by the Texas Lottery Commission. The first 2,500 fans to the game will receive a team poster, compliments of ABC Home and Commercial Services. Saturday is also a State Farm Family Four Pack night consisting of four tickets, four sodas and four hot dogs starting at $48. Texas will travel to Oklahoma City on Wednesday, February 22nd at 7:00 p.m. to face the Barons.
