Stars Announce Dates for Games 1 & 2 of Second Round

CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today the dates for Game 1 and Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals, to be played at Cedar Park Center.

The Stars will host Game 1 on Thursday, May 8th at 7:30 p.m. and Game 2 on Saturday, May 10th at 7:00 p.m., both at Cedar Park Center. Tickets for both games are on sale now and may be purchased via Ticketmaster or the Cedar Park Center Box Office. Thursday’s game is H-E-B Night, where fans can bring a non-perishable food item to the box office to receive five dollars off their next ticket purchase. Saturday’s game is a Coke Zero Family Four Pack Night, where fans can purchase a ticket package that includes four tickets, four hot dogs and four drinks at a discounted price. Every Texas Stars 2014 home playoff game is a Texas Lottery Lucky Row Night, where fans can win scratch off tickets courtesy of Texas Lottery when the first Stars player scores a goal.

Texas will host either the seventh-seeded Rochester Americans or the fourth-seeded Grand Rapids Griffins in the 2014 Western Conference Semifinals, which is a best-of-seven series. The Stars are waiting for the outcome of Sunday’s decisive Game 5 between Rochester and the Chicago Wolves at Allstate Arena. If Rochester wins, the Stars will face them in the second round. If the Wolves are victorious, then Texas will face the Griffins, the defending Calder Cup champions. The full game schedule for the Western Conference Semifinals will be released following the conclusion of Sunday’s Chicago-Rochester game.

After sweeping Oklahoma City in the first round of the 2014 Calder Cup Playoffs, the top-seeded Texas Stars will open the Western Conference Semifinals on Thursday, May 8th at Cedar Park Center for Game 1 at 7:30 p.m.; the opponent is still to be determined.
