Defenseman Returns to AHL on Conditioning Assignment

FRISCO, Texas - Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has loaned defenseman Patrik Nemeth to the Texas Stars, Dallas' top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL), on a conditioning assignment.

Nemeth, 24, has appeared in 16 games with Dallas in 2016-17 and has yet to record a point. The defenseman has posted 17 hits and 19 blocked shots, as well as 18 shots on goal this season. Nemeth has skated in 84 career regular-season NHL contests, all with Dallas, and has registered 11 points (0-11=11).

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound native of Stockholm, Sweden, was originally selected by Dallas in the second round (41st overall) of the 2010 NHL Draft.

The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, and are currently playing their eighth season at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.
