Brendan Ranford Called Up to NHL’s Dallas Stars

CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, announced today forward Brendan Ranford has been called up to the NHL for the first time in his career.

Ranford, 22, currently ranks second on Texas with 23 assists and 36 points (13 goals, 23 assists), while he ranks third on the squad with 13 goals in 50 games this season.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound native of Edmonton, Alta. was originally selected by Philadelphia in the seventh round (209th overall) of the 2010 NHL Draft, and was signed by Dallas as a free agent on July 2, 2014.
