Forward Joins Stars from ECHL

CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, announced Saturday the team has signed forward Brandon Alderson to a professional tryout agreement.

Alderson, 25, joins the Stars from the ECHL’s Greenville Swamp Rabbits where he has recorded 45 points in 55 games this season (26-29=45). The 6-foot-4, 205-pound native of Oakville, Ontario is currently in his fourth professional season and brings 144 games of AHL experience to the Stars with the Adirondack Phantoms, Lehigh Valley Phantoms, Hartford Wolf Pack and Syracuse Crunch.

The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, and are currently playing their eighth season at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.
