Texas Stars to Face St. John’s IceCaps in 2014 Calder Cup Finals

CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today the dates for their matchup with the St. John’s IceCaps in the 2014 Calder Cup Finals.

The top-seeded Stars will play the fourth-seeded IceCaps in the best-of-seven Calder Cup Finals. Playing a 2-3-2 format, Texas will host St. John’s for Games 1 and 2, opening the series on Sunday, June 8th and Monday, June 9th, with both games starting at 7:30 p.m. CT at Cedar Park Center. The teams will then travel to Newfoundland for Games 3, 4 and 5, if necessary, at Mile One Centre. Games 6 & 7, also if necessary, will be held at Cedar Park Center. The two teams have never faced each other. This is the second trip for the Calder Cup Finals for Texas, while St. John’s is appearing the last round of the playoffs for the first time in franchise history. Tickets for all four potential Texas Stars Calder Cup Finals home games will go on sale on Wednesday, June 4th at 10:00 a.m. via Ticketmaster or the Cedar Park Center Box Office.

Game 2 – Monday, June 9th – 7:30 p.m. vs. St. John’s (Cedar Park Center)

Game 3 – Wednesday, June 11th – 5:00 p.m. at St. John’s (Mile One Centre)

Game 4 – Monday, June 16th – 5:00 p.m. at St. John’s (Mile One Centre)

The Texas Stars will open the 2014 Calder Cup Finals against the St. John’s IceCaps with Game 1 on Sunday, June 8th at 7:30 p.m. at Cedar Park Center.
