Texas Stars Return Elgin Pearce to Idaho Steelheads

thumb20181204_Pearce.pngCEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, announced today that forward Elgin Pearce has been returned on loan to the team’s ECHL affiliate, the Idaho Steelheads.

Pearce, 26, has played five games with the Stars this season. The forward from Port Coquitlam, British Columbia notched his first goal of the year against San Antonio on Nov. 25, helping the club to a 7-3 win over the Rampage. Pearce has played 15 career games in the AHL across the last three seasons, netting two goals and adding a pair of assists.

With Idaho this season, the 6-foot skater has tallied three assists (0-3=3) in nine contests. Pearce has played 98 pro games in his career, totaling 61 points (27-34=61) and attended the University of Calgary from 2014 to 2017.

The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, will return to the H-E-B Center on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 7:00 p.m. to face Milwaukee on H-E-B Food Drive Night.
