Texas Stars Recall Dalhuisen, Root from Idaho

CEDAR PARK, Texas - The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL's Dallas Stars, announced today they have recalled defenseman Mike Dalhuisen and forward Jesse Root from their ECHL affiliate, the Idaho Steelheads.

Dalhuisen, 25, and Root, 24, each began the year in training camp with the Texas Stars, appearing in the team's opening preseason contest against the Oklahoma City Barons.  Neither player has appeared in any regular season action yet this year, as the Steelheads will begin their 2014-15 campaign this weekend.

The Stars travel to Oklahoma City for their first road test of the year on Friday, then return home on Saturday to host the Utica Comets at Cedar Park Center at 7:00 PM.
