CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, announced Monday the details surrounding their first-ever New Year’s Eve Bash, which will occur after their Dec. 31 game against the San Diego Gulls.

It will be the first time in franchise history the Stars have played a home game on New Year’s Eve when they drop the puck against San Diego at 7 p.m. at Cedar Park Center. Immediately following the game, the Cedar Park Center East Atrium and Bud Light Lounge will transform into “New Year’s Eve Central”, as Austin-based band Radiostar performs hits from the ‘70’s, ‘80s and today. A midnight champagne toast is included for all guests 21 and over to ring in 2016 with the Stars. All ticket holders at the Dec. 31 game are invited to attend the postgame festivities.

Radiostar was named one of the area’s 10 best live bands in the 2013-14 Austin Chronicle Readers’ Poll. The band plays some of the biggest hits from some of the biggest names in music, including Michael Jackson, Journey, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard and more.

The Dec. 31 game is also an H-E-B Night. Fans will receive a $5 discount on their ticket purchase when they donate an H-E-B-branded, non-perishable food item at the box office.

The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars and currently in their seventh season at Cedar Park Center. Full season, 24-game and 12-game ticket packages for the 2015-16 campaign are on sale now.  For more information, call (512) GO-STARS (467-8277) or visit TexasStars.com.
