Team Will Wear Military-Themed Jerseys against the San Jose Barracuda

CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, will host the San Jose Barracuda in a pair of games this weekend as part of their first Military Appreciation Weekend event for the 2016-17 regular season, presented by Round Rock Toyota, Honda and Hyundai.

Friday’s game begins at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday’s contest starts at 7 p.m. at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.

As part of the Stars’ ongoing support for current and former members of the armed forces, the organization has teamed up with fans and corporate partners to purchase nearly 1,600 tickets for the game. Those tickets purchased will be given to local soldiers, veterans and their families to express appreciation for the service the military provides for the country.

Stars players will be wearing special military-themed jerseys, which fans will be able to bid on during both games in a silent auction to benefit the Texas Stars Foundation. The auction runs from the beginning of Friday’s game through the end of the second intermission on Saturday night. At the conclusion of Saturday’s game, the winner of each jersey auction will receive their newly purchased game-worn jersey off the players’ back and autographed. Fans can also purchase military-themed autographed Mystery Pucks, as well as Texas Stars Challenge Coins, for a $20 donation at the Foundation table both nights.

The Parking Spot will be collecting toys for Operation Blue Santa at the Foundation table on the concourse on Friday and Saturday. Those who donate a new, unwrapped toy will receive a voucher good for any Stars home game in December, plus a Parking Spot coupon for complimentary, one-day parking. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for Saturday’s game for a Military Rally Towel giveaway. Saturday’s game and the rally towel are both presented by Re-Bath of Austin.

Friday is a Hat Trick Friday with the Stars where fans can enjoy $3 specials on beer and soda, and $4 specials on Robert Mondavi Private Selection Wine. Fans can also save $12 on a pair of tickets with a Texas Stars Two-Pack. Both games will be a Texas Lottery Lucky Row Night where the first Stars player to score wins free scratch tickets for a lucky row of seats at H-E-B Center. Saturday’s contest is also a Coke Zero Family Four-Pack game with four tickets, four hot dogs and four soft drinks starting at just $16 per person.
