Stars Send Labrie & Robinson Back to Idaho

Defenseman & Goaltender Return to Steelheads as ECHL Playoffs Begin
 
CEDAR PARK, TX – The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today that Dallas has reassigned defenseman Hubert Labrie to the Idaho Steelheads, the team’s ECHL affiliate. Texas also announced that goaltender Josh Robinson have been returned on loan to the Steelheads.
 
Labrie, 21, has played in 27 games for the Stars this season, recording three assists, 45 penalty minutes and a plus-four rating.  The Victoriaville, Quebec native has also appeared in 22 games for Idaho this year, recording five points (2 goals, 3 assists), 46 penalty minutes and a plus-10 rating.  He has played in 60 career AHL games for Texas, scoring six points (2 goals, 4 assists) and amassing 63 penalty minutes. Labrie was undrafted after playing four seasons with the Gatineau Olympiques of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) and he signed an entry-level contract with Dallas on September 18, 2009.
 
Robinson, 23, has been to Texas twice this season and has severed as the Stars backup goaltender for three AHL games. The Frankenmuth, Michigan native has played in 39 games for Idaho this year, posting a 27-8-1-3 record, with a 2.57 goals-against average (GAA), a 0.925 save percentage (SV%) and five shutouts. Robinson ranks second in the ECHL in wins, shutouts and SV%, he is fourth overall in saves (1,245), sixth in minutes (2,362) and is ninth in the league in GAA. Currently in his first professional season, he was undrafted after playing four years for Michigan Tech (WCHA) and signed a standard AHL contract with Texas on June 6, 2012.
 
The Idaho Steelheads begin their 2013 ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs on Wednesday, April 3rd as they host the Colorado Eagles at 8:10 p.m. CT at CenturyLink Arena for Game 1 of their best-of-seven series.
 
The Texas Stars continue their three-game home stand on Friday April 5th against the Oklahoma City Barons for a 7:30 p.m. faceoff at Cedar Park Center.
