The Stars’ players will wear special camouflage jerseys for the weekend and will auction off the game-worn jerseys to benefit the Texas Stars Foundation. The silent auction runs from the beginning of Friday’s game through the end of the second intermission on Saturday night. The winner of each jersey auction will be escorted by team officials backstage where they will have their newly purchased game-worn jersey delivered by that Stars player and autographed.  Fans can also purchase military themed Mystery Pucks at the Foundation table during both games.  For a $20 donation, fans receive a puck signed by one or more Texas Stars players.

The festivities begin on Friday night as the Stars welcome the Grand Rapids Griffins for a 7:30 p.m. faceoff at Cedar Park Center. Friday is also a Fun Food Friday featuring $3 beer, soda, hot dogs, and Pizza Hut slices, plus $4 Robert Mondavi Private Selection Wine.  Also on Friday, the Texas Lottery Commission will hand out thundersticks from the Texas Lottery kiosk on the concourse.  Prior to the game, retired U.S. Navy Veteran and Cedar Park resident Troy Cole, who served in World War II and the Korean and Vietnam Wars, will be on hand for the ceremonial puck drop.

Saturday night will be a camouflage hat giveaway, courtesy of Round Rock Auto Group, as the Stars and Griffins face off again at 7 p.m. Saturday’s game is also a Coke Zero Family Four Pack Night and a Texas Lottery Lucky Row Night. Jay Styles of Mix 94.7 will drop the puck before the game to promote his Courage Walk fundraising efforts for the Austin Dog Alliance’s Hounds for Heroes program, which provides service dogs for veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
