Patrik Nemeth Recalled by NHL’s Dallas Stars

CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, announced today defenseman Patrik Nemeth has been recalled to Dallas.

Nemeth, 23, has appeared in five games with Texas, recording one assist and five shots on goal.  The Stockholm, Sweden native began the season with Dallas where he earned a +1 plus/minus rating and three shots on goal in five games before suffering an arm laceration on Oct. 18, 2014 against Philadelphia.  Nemeth missed 52 games due to the injury.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound defenseman was selected by Dallas in the second round (41st overall) of the 2010 NHL Draft.

Forwards Curtis McKenzie and Brett Ritchie were also recalled to Dallas.  McKenzie has appeared in 22 games this season for Dallas with a pair of goals and 29 penalty minutes.   Ritchie has five points in 18 games this season for Dallas on three goals and two assists.

Texas continues their homestand Friday against the Iowa Wild at 7:30 p.m.
