Forward Returns to Idaho Steelheads

CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, announced Saturday they have reassigned forward Caleb Herbert to their ECHL affiliate, the Idaho Steelheads.

Herbert, 25, has appeared in three games this season for Texas. The 6-foot, 200-pound forward tallied 14 points (10-4=14) in 15 games last season for the ECHL’s South Carolina Stingrays, and also recorded two assists in 26 games with the AHL’s Hershey Bears.

The Bloomington Minn. native was a fifth-round pick of the NHL’s Washington Capitals in 2010.

The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, and are currently playing their eighth season at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.
