Texas Stars Also Make Roster Moves

FRISCO, Texas - Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the team has trimmed their training camp roster by three. The Stars training camp roster now stands at 27 players.

Justin Fontaine - Right Wing - Released from PTO
Julius Honka - Defenseman - Loaned to Texas (AHL)
Gemel Smith - Center - Loaned to Texas (AHL)

The Texas Stars also made a pair of moves to their training camp roster.

Zach Bell - Defenseman - Released from tryout
Henri Kiviaho - Goalie - Reassigned to Idaho (ECHL) by Dallas (NHL)

Texas opens their regular season at home on Friday at 7:30 p.m. against the Charlotte Checkers.

The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, and will begin their eighth season at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park in October.
