Dallas Stars Return Chris Mueller to Texas Stars

CEDAR PARK, TX – The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today that Dallas has returned center Chris Mueller on loan to Texas.

Mueller, 27, played in his second game of the season with Dallas Tuesday night at Columbus, logging 9:17 of ice time while recording one shot on goal and two hits. The Buffalo, New York native has appeared in two NHL games for the Stars this season recording two shot and winning five out of seven faceoffs (71.4%). Mueller is fourth on Texas and is tied for eighth in the AHL with 52 points (24 goals, 28 assists) in 56 games played. Mueller is tied for the league lead with 14 power play goals and is tied for fifth in the AHL in goals. The 5-foot-11, 210-pound center was signed by Dallas as a free agent on July 8, 2013.

The Dallas Stars return to action on Thursday, March 6th as they host the Vancouver Canucks for a 7:30 p.m. faceoff at American Airlines Center.

The Western Conference-leading Texas Stars will complete their a five-game road trip tonight as they again battle the Abbotsford Heat for a 9:00 p.m. CT face off at Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre. Texas will return to Cedar Park Center Saturday, March 8th to face the Charlotte Checkers with a 7:00 p.m. face off. Saturday’s game is a Coke Zero Family Four Pack Night and a Texas Lottery Lucky Row Night, as well as a Stars Team Poster giveaway and there will be a post-game autograph session.
