FRISCO, Texas - Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has recalled left wing Curtis McKenzie from the Texas Stars, Dallas' development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

McKenzie, 23, posted a goal in Texas' season-opening game Saturday night against Iowa.  In 2013-14, he won the Dudley "Red" Garrett Memorial Award, given to the AHL's most outstanding rookie, and was named to the AHL All-Rookie Team leading all AHL rookies with 65 points (27-38=65) in 75 games played.  He added 14 points (3-11=14) in 21 postseason contests helping Texas win their first Calder Cup.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound native of Golden, British Columbia was selected by Dallas in the sixth round (159th overall) of the 2009 NHL Draft.
