Dallas Stars Reassign Forward Radek Faksa to Texas Stars

CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today that Dallas has reassigned center Radek Faksa to Texas.

Faksa, 20, registered 48 points (21 goals, 27 assists) and 48 penalty minutes in 59 games with the Kitchener Rangers and Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) during the 2013-14 regular season, finishing fifth on Sudbury with 21 goals. Faksa earned three points (1 goal, 2 assists) and 10 penalty minutes in five postseason games with Sudbury.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound center has recorded one career assist in two AHL contests with Texas in the 2012-13 regular season. The native of Opava, Czech Republic was selected by Dallas in the first round (13th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft.

The Texas Stars will continue their home stand as they face the Lake Erie Monsters on Friday, April 4th for a 7:30 p.m. face off at Cedar Park Center. Friday’s game is Mike Modano night, including a pre-game ceremony and Signature Edition Rally Towel giveaway.
