Dallas Stars Call Up Jyrki Jokipakka

CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, announced today defenseman Jyrki Jokipakka has been called back up to Dallas.

Jokipakka, 23, returns to the Dallas Stars on his second NHL call-up this season.  The 6-foot-3, 210-pound defenseman made his NHL debut on Oct. 24 for Dallas in a 3-2 shootout win over the New Jersey Devils, and has appeared in three games overall for Dallas this season.  Jokipakka (YIHR-kee YOH-kee-pah-kuh) has a goal in nine AHL games this season with the Texas Stars.

Texas will face off against San Antonio in a home-and-home series this weekend beginning on Friday at Cedar Park Center at 7:30 p.m.
