The “Big Rig” Returns to Cedar Park

CEDAR PARK, TX – The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today that Dallas has returned defenseman Jamie Oleksiak on loan to Texas.

Oleksiak, 20, has skated in 16 NHL contests for Dallas, where he has earned two assists, 14 penalty minutes and 11 shots. The 6-foot-7 defenseman from Toronto became the tallest player in Dallas Stars history when he made his NHL debut on Feb. 1 against Phoenix. Despite playing just five games for Texas since Feb. 1, he still ranks first among team defensemen in scoring (6G-23A-29PTS) and plus/minus (+20). Oleksiak was Dallas' first-round selection (14th overall) in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

The Dallas Stars return to American Airlines Center to face off against the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday night at 7 p.m. CT (TV: FOX Sports Southwest, Radio: 1310 The Ticket).

The Texas Stars return to action tonight as they host the Rochester Americans at 7:30 p.m. for the beginning of Military Appreciation Weekend presented by Round Rock Auto Group and another Texas Lottery Lucky Section Night. 2013-14 Season Tickets are now on sale.
