Defenseman Returns to NHL

FRISCO, Texas - Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Jamie Oleksiak from a conditioning assignment with the Texas Stars, Dallas' top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Oleksiak, 23, skated in eight games for Texas during his conditioning assignment, recording one assist (0-1=1) with a +4 plus/minus rating. This season with Dallas, Oleksiak has recorded two assists (0-2=2) and 37 hits in 11 games. 

The 6-foot-7, 260-pound native of Toronto, Ont. was selected by Dallas in the first round (14th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft
