Goaltender Heading to NHL

FRISCO, Texas - Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has recalled goaltender Jack Campbell from the Texas Stars, Dallas' top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Campbell, 24, split the regular season between Texas and Idaho (ECHL). With Texas, he appeared in 19 games posting a 7-7-5 record with a 3.65 goals against average and an .884 save percentage. He also played in three Calder Cup playoff contests, posting a 1-2 record with a 4.45 goals against average and an .880 save percentage. In 20 regular season games for Idaho, he compiled a 14-5-1 record with four shutouts, a 1.68 goals against average and a .944 save percentage.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound native of Port Huron, Michigan was originally selected by Dallas in the first round (11th overall) of the 2010 NHL Draft.

The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars and currently in their seventh season at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.
