FRISCO, Texas - Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has recalled forward Brendan Ranford from the Texas Stars, Dallas' top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Ranford, 22, made his NHL debut on Feb. 19 vs. San Jose and recorded two hits.  He currently ranks second on Texas with 23 assists and 36 points (13-23=36), while he ranks fourth on the squad with 13 goals in 50 games this season.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound native of Edmonton, Alberta was originally selected by Philadelphia in the seventh round (209th overall) of the 2010 NHL Draft, and was signed by Dallas as a free agent on July 2, 2014.
