Dallas Assigns Ludwig Bystrom to Texas

FRISCO, Texas - Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has assigned defenseman Ludwig Bystrom from Farjestads of the Swedish Hockey League to the Texas Stars, Dallas' top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.

Bystrom (LOOD-veeg BIGH-struhm), 20, appeared in 38 games for Farjestads this season posting five points (1-4=5) and 18 penalty minutes. He has also appeared in five games for the Swedish 1st Division club Timra recording one point (0-1=1).

The 6-foot-0, 175-pound native of Ornskoldsvik, Sweden was selected by Dallas in the second round (43rd overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft.

The Stars host the Milwaukee Admirals Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 5 p.m.
