Dallas Assigns Esa Lindell to Texas Stars

All-Star Defenseman to Play Friday in Grand Rapids

FRISCO, Texas - Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has loaned defenseman Esa Lindell to the Texas Stars, Dallas' top development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Lindell, 22, has tallied one assist (0-1=1), 15 hits and 14 blocked shots in 10 games with Dallas this season. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound defenseman was originally selected by Dallas in the third round (74th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft. Lindell was an AHL All-Star last season with Texas and finished with 42 points in 73 games (14-28=42) in his rookie campaign.

The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, and are currently playing their eighth season at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.
